Join us for the release of Chicago’s Half-Acre Brewery newest beer, Chocolate Camaro. Chocolate Camaro is coco rich and lactose silk surrounds roasty notes to offer this stout a firm stance. 6% ABV.

Taco Day- Pale Ale- 6.5% ABV
If you had it last time we brewed it, you’ll remember some tastefully foreign hop qualities. You’ll again be knocked off balance when hit with the charm of 07270. This experimental varietal of hops is being described in many ways at our brewery. A lot of juicy derivatives, an array of bong driven superlatives and a series of tree and fruit benchmarks. What’s important is that people are digging through their sensory rolodex to find ways to explain new qualities. Hop growers are being pushed by the rabid interest in expanding the profile hops can create. Science and farming collide to twist on you in new ways. Taco Day takes note of the culinary institution that is tacos. You love tacos.
Calamari Tacos
Fried calamari / jalapeño tartar / arugula / pico de gallo

Chocolate Camaro- Milk & Cacao Stout – 6% ABV

So come out and check out what a different type of gas does to the texture of the beer and how it changes your perception of the taste! Have it on Co2 and Nitro and then decide which way is best!

Belgian Beers

Rare Vos
Amber Ale, 6.5% ABV
A clever fox knows when to stop, and at the end of a long day the
reward of choice should be a Rare Vos, also know as the Sly Fox. Named
after a Brussels pub famous for bicycling contests and pigeon races,
Rare Vos is a mpst quaffable brew. It’s well balanced on every front
with slightly spicy notes from grains of paradise and sweet orange
peel. This Belgian-Style cafe ale is mellow, spicy

La Chouffe Houblon
IPA Tripel, 9% ABV
Houblon Chouffe was brewed for the first time in 2006. It is an Indian
Pale Ale, characterised by a harmonious balance between a pleasant
fruitiness and pronounced bitterness by using three types of hops.
Houblon Chouffe is an unfiltered beer which is refermented both in the
bottle and in barrels.

Tripel
9.2% ABV
This limited edition Belgian-Style Tripel honers Belgian Independence
Day- July 21, 1831. In a new world twist on an old world style,
joining Ommegang innovation with Belgian tradition in celebration of
the Belgian revolution and the American craft beer revolution. Dry
hopped with Mandarina Bavaria hops, this unique beer offers fruity
aromatics, well integrated honeyed malt character, and a delightful
overlay of tangerine and sweet citrus notes.

Duvel Tripel Hop
Hopped Tripel, 9.5% ABV
Duvel is traditionally brewed with two hop varieties. Duvel Tripel Hop
is brewed with three hop varieties and each year the third hop is
changed to provide its own unique taste and aroma. This keeps the
final flavor profile surprisingly exciting for any true beer lover.
For 2015 brewers selected the aromatic hop EQUINOX from the USA.
Thanks to the third additional hop variety Equinox, the 2015 selection
is characterized with the aroma of grapefruit, lemon and a hint of
fresh green pepper. Equinox hops are added again during ‘dry-hopping’,
extracting additional hop aromas into the beer. The higher aromatic
intensity rounds out the beer, backing the final alcohol content of
9.5%.

Expected thank you note from Dad:

Dear Kids,

Thank you so much for my most amazing Father’s Day. The only thing that can come close to the warmth and love I have for you is the Man-Brunch at Prairie Moon. The Father’s Day brunch buffet was tremendous. I could have stayed there grazing all day. I do appreciate you bringing a wheelbarrow to roll me to the car! That was considerate of you, but, quite frankly, it is testimony to my quality parenting.

I will never forget the smoked meats, fresh seafood, salads, FREE BEER, Malted Mooncakes…. HOT DOG CART and so much more.

Thank you for the great day and great meal. You made a wonderful memory for me.

Love,

Dad

A little Crazy

Belgo-style Pale Ale | 6.8% ABV

Pilsner malt base provides a nice toasty flavor with hints of caramel and enough fermentable sugar to make this a rather substantial beer.  Pilsner malt is the base with a little carapils and belgian caramunich malt to finish out the bill. The hops used in the brewhouse are Magnum, Cascade, and Citra with a dryhop blend of Citra, and Cascade. This drives home the aromas of fresh citrus rind to make this a very drinkable and extremely aromatic Belgian American Pale Ale.  A Little Crazy was the 2012 Great American Beer Festival Bronze medal.

T.V. Party

Rye India Pale Ale7.6% ABV | 80 IBU

The latest in the Repo Man soundtrack series, this rye IPA is clean and refreshing.  Brewed with 2-row malt and flaked rye for toasty, nutty undertones up front, with a huge hop flavor and aroma from the Amarillo, and Fuggle hops finish out this brew.

Jukebox Hero

Black India Pale Ale | 7.5% ABV | 75 IBU

This black IPA is bursting with crisp, clean bitterness and layers of wonderful American hop character. Pale Ale, Munich and Naked Golden Oats give a toasty malt backbone with a smooth mouthfeel. The dark ominous color comes from the Chocolate Malt and the de-husked highly roasted malt. Amarillo, Citra, Chinook, Centennial, and Warrior Make up the many layers of hops that contrast with the roasty malt and lend bitterness as well as aromas and flavors of fresh citrus fruit, pine, fresh cut mint and fresh flowers.

Straight Jacket

Barrel-Aged Barley Wine | 13% ABV | 55 IBU

A strong ale to warm your insides in the dead of winter. Pours a dark mahogany color with a mild amount of carbonation and a somewhat lighter body than would be expected of this style beer. Deep aromas and flavors of dark stone fruits, bourbon, molasses, toasted coconut and vanilla come in waves to remind you of the time spent in the barrel.

TONIGHT–Please join us tonight for a special tapping of Firestone Walker Brewing Company‘s “Parabola 2013.” This limited release brew is a tasty Russian Imperial Stout aged for 8 years in bourbon barrels. Come on by and help us show a warm welcome to the 2013 GABF Mid-Size Brewery of The Year!

We’ll have a Firestone Flight of 4 featuring the Parabola 2013, Pivo Hoppy Pils, Wookey Jack, and Double Jack. Attached is tonight’s special food pairing menu to complement each brew. Representatives from the brewery will be in house to talk to you about the beer, and to give away some cool Firestone Walker gear (while supplies last) with the purchase of the featured $10 flight. Hope to see you tonight! Cheers
